Omega Health Medical Centre is a rapidly growing General Practice clinic located 2km from the CBD of Cairns. Omega Health is an AGPAL Accredited practice having achieved one of the highest standard ratings.
The Medical Centre was founded in 2005 by Dr Anthony Mahler who was joined in 2009 by his partner Dr Uri Scelwyn. Omega Health Medical Centre now has 7 GPs providing extended-hours services 7 days a week.
Omega Health is located on Pease Street in the Brinsmead Shopping Centre at Manoora directly opposite the Piccones Supa IGA. That means that access to the centre is easy and there is ample under-cover parking available.
A new purpose-built medical centre will be opened on-location in early 2011. In addition to General Practice, the new centre will also house the Omega Skin Cancer Clinic as well as Specialist rooms. Sullican Nicolaides Pathology will also have a dedicated collection service at the rooms.
Adjacent to the medical practice will be the Omega Allied Health Centre. This will provide a broad range of services including Podiatry, Psychology, Audiology, Speech Therapy, Dietitian, Diabetic Education and more.
